Jules Joseph Lefebvre born March 14 , 1836 – February 24 1911 was a French figure painter, educator and theorist. Like a most academic artist, Lefèbvre started his career with the traditional subject matter of histories and other narratives. He focused his career on exclusively on the human figure in portraiture and especially the female nude, the was proven to be a successful trunning point.

The fist piece that caught my attention is by artist:Jules Bastien-Lepage (French, Damvillers 1848–1884 Paris)Date:1879. The medium is Oil on canvas this piece inspired me because it's surrounded by nature and looks like the woman in the photo is going on an adventure. The elements of art used in this painting includes color and dimension using light and dark colors to create depth (METROPOLITAN muesum of art collection)
The second artwork is byJohn Singer Sargent (American, Florence 1856–1925 London) Date:1917 The medium used are watercolor, gouache, and graphite on white wove paper
The Dimensions: of the painting is 13 5/8 x 21 in. (34.6 x 53.3 cm)
This also inspired me because again it's a very peaceful setting that looks like he's on a vacation and the colors used is very cool so when you look at the painting you feel at peace
